Patriotic songs by the 1st Marine Division Band and fireworks for 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Part 1 was one of my traditional drum corps holiday posts. Part 2 celebrates the day at theme parks. For my readers' entertainment, I am sharing seven videos of a concert by the 1st Marine Division Band from Camp Pendleton at the Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland on 4th of July 2018 that Daps Magic finally uploaded yesterday followed by last night's fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

The concert began with "America" as the 1st Marine Division Band Opening Number - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

I expressed my gratitude to Daps Magic in a comment to this video; "Happy 4th of July! Thank you for uploading this series of videos. They were exactly what I was looking for today."

Follow over the jump for more of the concert plus a fireworks show.

The concert continued with the first of three Sousa marches, The Washington Post - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

Now the second Sousa march, The Thunderer March - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

That's quite the percussion feature!

The band took a break from Sousa marches to play a gospel version of America the Beautiful - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

Never let it be said that the late Ray Charles has not had a lasting influence on "America the Beautiful."

Continuing with unconventional interpretations of patriotic songs, the military band turned into a jazz big band for Jazz Battle Hymn of the Republic - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

Note that only the trumpets, trombones, saxophones, and rhythm section played; everyone else rested.

The ensemble returned to a traditional military band for Armed Forces Salute Excerpt - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

I'm glad to hear they included the Coast Guard in the medley. This concert happened before the creation of the Space Force, so there's no song for them. Maybe in the future.

The concert concluded with the third and final Sousa march, Stars and Stripes Forever - 1st Marine Division Band - 4th of July at Disneyland 2018.

That was certainly rousing!

For the finale, I switch coasts to WDW News Today's 2022 Disney's Celebrate America! Fireworks at Magic Kingdom from Walt Disney World, recorded and uploaded last night.

Spectacular!  I hope my readers enjoyed it as much as I did.

This concludes part 2 of this year's celebration of the second patriotic holiday during July. I'll celebrate the third on Bastille Day. Stay tuned.
