Happy International Tiger Day! As I promised yesterday, I'm examining nominated nature documentaries like I did last year. I'm focusing on the only nominee for Outstanding Nature Documentary with multiple nominations, Incredible Animal Journeys | Official Trailer | National Geographic.
We might think we are the world's greatest explorers, but we're not. INCREDIBLE ANIMAL JOURNEYS narrated by Jeremy Renner premieres Nov. 19th at 9/8c on National Geographic, streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu.I'm repeating what I wrote yesterday.
Incredible Animal Journeys has four nominations total to be the most nominated member of this field, Outstanding Nature Documentary, Outstanding Cinematography: Documentary, and Outstanding Promotional Announcement: Documentary, in addition to Outstanding Sound: Documentary. It's my preliminary pick for Outstanding Nature Documentary.I can see why this trailer earned its nomination for Outstanding Promotional Announcement: Documentary. It has a decent chance of winning, too, as 'Super/Natural' won Outstanding Promotional Announcement last year. I'll have more to say after I watch the rest of the nominees in that category.

Based on the trailer, this looks like the best bet to upset Incredible Animal Journeys. Either way, National Geographic would win.

Against all odds, wild panthers have been stunningly captured in their native ecosystem, as they've never been filmed before.

Take a deep breath and experience the complex world of ocean waters. NATURE shows a never-before-seen look at how life underwater co-exists in a marriage of necessity.If I were planning on teaching more than two years, I'd look at this to replace Selva Verde: The Green Jungle. Instead, I'll just recommend it, along with the rest of the nominees, to my students so they can watch it for extra credit.

Global Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as a way to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The day was founded in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022.Now there are actually tigers in today's post.
