Political reform for the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News

I told my readers when I would continue this series at the end of 'The Walking Dead' vs. 'American Horror Story: Cult' plus Saturn Awards for the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News when I wrote "As for the retrospectives, I plan on posting one about political reform on the 29th.  Stay tuned."  It's the 29th, so it's time for me to follow through.

The most read entry in this retrospective is John Oliver on primaries and caucuses for Groundhog Day from February 2, 2018.  This entry was the thirteenth most read entry during the seventh year of the blog, the eleventh most read actually posted during the blogging year with 4308 raw page views.  It was also the fourth most read entry of February 2018 with 4252 default and 4292 raw page views.  This post had 64 page views before being shared at the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page.  It earned 1820 page views in the first two hours and 3694 in the first 24 hours after being shared.

While this entry fits the theme of political reform, including gerrymandering reform, and set the order of this post in the sequence, I really should have included it in Holidays for the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News on Arbor Day as Groundhog Day is one of the holidays I celebrate on this blog.  Oops.  At least I could find another theme for it.

Follow over the jump for the rest of the top entries on the theme.

Voters Not Politicians explains gerrymandering in Michigan from November 30, 2017 is the next most read entry on the general theme of election reform with 4062 raw page views, enough to place it fifteenth overall and thirteenth among entries posted during the seventh year of this blog.  This entry was also the second most read entry during December 2017 with 3894 default page views, although it maxed out at 3955 default and 4019 raw page views on December 29, 2017.
(Maxed out at 3955 default on 12/29/17.  The post had 93 default page views before being shared that the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page.  It earned 1516 page views in 2 hours and ~3400 in the first 24 hours after being shared.  In one way, it's the odd post out, as it's the only one not featuring videos from either John Oliver or Vox.

The next entry featuring John Oliver is 'Last Week Tonight' asks 'how is voting on Tuesday still a thing?' from November 7, 2017.  The post ended the seventh year of this blog with 3410 raw page views, ranking it 22nd among all entries during the blogging year ended in March and 20th among all entries posted during the blogging year.  It also ranked third among entries during November 2017 with 3319 default page views.  It maxed out at 3335 default and 3395 raw page views on December 6, 2017.  Before being shared at the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page, this entry had 87 default and 92 raw page views.  It earned 821 page views in the first two hours after being shared and 2800+ in the first 24 hours.

John Oliver and Vox examine gerrymandering from April 18, 2017 is the final entry in this retrospective featuring a video from Last Week Tonight with John Oliver as well as the first with one from Vox.  The entry ended the blogging year with 3079 raw page views, enough to place it 24th overall and 22nd among entries posted during the blogging year.  It was also the most read entry of May 2018 with 2621 default page views, although it had more, maxing out at 2702 default page views, 2933 according to the raw counter, on May 17, 2017.  This post was shared to Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page, where it earned 518 page views in the first two hours after being shared for a total of 597 default and 727 raw views since being posted.  That was a slow start.  It earned ~2350 page views over the 24 hours after being shared, for a total of ~2450 default and ~2580 raw page views total since it was first posted, easily passing "Marching for science in Ann Arbor."

The final entry in this retrospective as well as the second featuring a video from Vox and the most recent is Vox explains how Pennsylvania rigged its electoral map posted March 1, 2018.  This entry ranked 32nd overall as well as 28th among entries posted during the seventh year of this blog, earning 2483 raw and 2447 default page views by March 20, 2018.  It also ended March with 2444 default and 2491 raw page views, placing fifth among entries during March 2018 and second among entries posted during the month.  This post had 77 page views before being shared at the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page.  It earned ~1525 page views in the first two hours and 2300+ in the first 24 hours after being shared.  It helped earn 1208 page views the hour it was shared and 2614 page views the day it was shared.

I plan on posting another retrospective tomorrow, which will be about the most read entries about the Primetime Emmy Awards.  Stay tuned.
