I promised an examination of the Golden Raspberry (Razzie®) Nominations twice, so I'm following through with The 46th Razzie® Nominations.
Thank you to our fearless Razzie® Voting Members who picked through a vast amount of solid sludge to extract these fine pearls of mediocrity! And giving a special callout to Travis Morrow! For more, including checking their math, follow over the jump.
Go to Razzies.com for the full list of nominees as they duke it out for the $4.97 Razzie Statuette!
HOLLYWOOD, WE NEED TO TALK!
Where is that safer, happier and more inspiring place - Disneyland? Well, even Disney bungled that!
46th Annual Golden Raspberry (Razzie®) Nominations
Among the 2026 titles competing for the $4.97 gold spray-painted Worst Picture Statuette are:
The $320 million production of a well-regarded graphic novel, that despite the highly touted talent involved, fell flat on originality, execution and heart - The Electric State
A vanity project that doesn't move fast enough towards the ending - Hurry Up Tomorrow
A slow-paced unnecessary re-imagining of a classic, filled with drawn-out musical numbers, dopey CGI dwarfs, and enough mediocrity to leave the audience in a very unhappy place - Disney's Snow White (2025)
A convoluted mess beaming its audience to a frontier that could finally bring this once inspiring franchised journey to a screeching halt - Star Trek: Section 31.
And if butchering an H.G. Wells classic by stringing together video chats, surveillance cams and FaceTime with panic attacks makes for a compelling film experience - please allow the robots to attack and get it over with! - War Of The Worlds (2025)
Now for the rest from the press release.
46th Annual Golden Raspberry (Razzie®) NominationsAll the totals above checked out, but the person writing the press release, while flawlessly funny, failed to include Bride Hard, which earned three nominations for Actress, Supporting Actress, and Supporting Actor, and Alarum, whose three nominations are for Actor, Supporting Actress, and Supporting Actor. That's probably because neither earned nominations for Worst Picture, but both still tied The Electric State. I understand why the totals didn't include Bride Hard and Alarum, but I disagree with the reason and consider it an error of omission.

Next, I'm comparing the nominees with WatchMojo's bottom twenty.
1. War of the WorldsWar of the Worlds, Snow White, Star Trek: Section 31, Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Electric State were first through fourth and sixth, and all received Worst Picture nominations, skipping Tyler Perry's Duplicity, which was spared any nominations. I guess the Razzies have had enough of mocking Perry. Alarum, Love Hurts, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Alto Knights, Smurfs, Bride Hard, and In the Lost Lands also earned Razzie Nominations. That's twelve of the bottom twenty and twelve of the eighteen Razzie nominees. Not bad, at least as a source of nomination predictions.
2. Snow White
3. Star Trek: Section 31
4. Hurry Up Tomorrow
5. Tyler Perry's Duplicity
6. The Electric State
7. Alarum
8. Love Hurts
9. The Old Guard 2
10. Him
11. A Minecraft Movie
12. I Know What You Did Last Summer
13. The Alto Knights
14. Fear Street: Prom Queen
15. Smurfs
16. Bride Hard
17. In the Lost Lands
18. Flight Risk
19. The Woman in the Yard
20. Captain America: Brave New World
...
The video mentioned the Razzie Awards, which reminds me why I made this list. Last year's worst movies of 2024 from WatchMojo did a very good job of predicting the Razzies nominees, so I'm keeping the list to compare it with next year's nominees. Those should be entertaining.
In addition to Tyler Perry's Duplicity, the WatchMojo worst that missed being nominated were The Old Guard 2, Him, A Minecraft Movie, Fear Street: Prom Queen, Flight Risk,The Woman in the Yard, and Captain America: Brave New World. I guess "being the number one movie in North American box office and number four worldwide" did spare A Minecraft Movie from a nomination! Replacing them among the nominees were Gunslingers, Five Nights At Freddy's 2, Fountain Of Youth, Off The Grid, The Strangers: Chapter 2, and Tron: Ares. Of course the Razzies would nominate Nicolas Cage and Jared Leto!
Before I conclude this entry, I'm noting that Star Trek: Section 31 also earned a nomination at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. That means that Unfrosted is no longer the only TV movie with both Emmy and Razzie nominations, although I'd be surprised if Star Trek: Section 31 matches Unfrosted's two Razzies.
I'm not going to make any other predictions today. If Gold Derby decides to, I'll share theirs. Otherwise, as the press release stated, "The 46th Razzie 'Winners' will be unveiled on 'Oscar Eve' - Sat, March 14th." Will the Razzies make pie jokes for Pi Day? I wouldn't put it past them. In the meantime, I plan on starting my Oscar coverage tomorrow. Stay tuned.
