'Brian Cox Goes to College - Uber One for Students' wins Emmy for Outstanding Commercial

As I wrote yesterday, "Stay tuned as I plan on resuming my Emmy winners coverage tomorrow with the winner of Outstanding Commercial." Watch Commercial: 2025 Creative Arts.

The Team From Brian Cox Goes To College accepts the Emmy for Commercial at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The Television Academy certainly got a pair of appropriate presenters for this award. As I wrote in Corporation for Public Broadcasting receives Governors Award at Creative Arts Emmys, "that's Jake from State Farm and Doug from the Liberty Mutual commercials. I'm glad to see them get recognition as presenters and nominees in Jake's case, if not as winners. I have that post half-written." Yes, this entry has been a draft that long. It was worth it just to find out the names behind the characters, Kevin Miles for Jake and David Hoffman for Doug.

As for the award, I expected this Emmy would go to either "Heartstrings | Apple Holiday | Hearing Aid feature on AirPods Pro 2" or "The Boy & The Octopus" while dismissing the chances of the winner.
That went really fast for a two-minute video, so it was even more entertaining than I expected — no I haven't seen it before. Will it win? Probably not. Will it make young people order more food and rides? Probably. If so, then it's a success.
It was even more of a success than I expected. Congratulations!

While that's a wrap for today, I'm not done with Emmy winners, as I plan on posting about the reality TV winners tomorrow. I forgot that last Saturday was National Coming Out Day, posting Marsh Family sings 'Measles and Polio Down in the Schoolyard' for RFK Jr. instead. It turned out OK, as Steve in Manhattan linked to it at Mike's Blog Roundup on Crooks and Liars, bringing in nearly 200 page views, but I feel I should make up for it. Sorry, National Fossil Day and Hagfish Day. Priorities.
