I'm returning to the Emmy Awards for the Sunday entertainment feature with one of only two remaining program categories that I usually cover, Outstanding Television Movie. Here are the nominees at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Outstanding MovieRemarkably Bright Creatures leads nominations with three, followed by Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War with two, and Heads of State, Miss You, Love You, and People We Meet on Vacation with one each. Gold Derby's prediction page for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards also has Remarkably Bright Creatures leading, as every editor and expert plus 97.9% of users have selected it to win. Heads of State, Miss You, Love You, and People We Meet on Vacation split the remaining user vote with 0.7% each. Despite having two nominations, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War has no users choosing it.
- Heads of State (Prime Video)
- Miss You, Love You (HBO)
- People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix)
- Remarkably Bright Creatures (Netflix)
- Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War (Prime Video)
Next a category recognized at the Primetime Emmy Awards, 78th Emmy Nominations: Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
The nominees for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie are Claire Danes, Sally Field, Carey Mulligan, Sarah Pidgeon and Sarah Snook. The prognosticators at Gold Derby see this as a much more competitive contest than for TV Movie. Carey Mulligan leads as the choice of 70% of experts, 50% of editors, and 69.7%, but the professionals and fans differ on the next choice, with 10% of experts, 33.3% of editors, and 7.1% of users picking Sally Fields while 10% of experts and 17.3% of users selecting Sarah Snook. Sarah Pigeon also has the support of 10% of experts along with 16.7% of editors and 4.8% of users. Claire Danes is the choice of the remaining 1% of users.
Back to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score)All Her Fault leads the nominees at Gold Derby with the support of 86.7% of experts, 83.3% of editors, and 92.7% of users, followed by The Beast in Me with 6.7% of experts, 16.7% of editors, and 5.5% of users, with the rest divided between experts and users. In the Blink of an Eye, the sole movie nominee, has the vote of 6.7% of experts, but no users, while Black Rabbit and Washington Black tie with 0.9% of users each.
- All Her Fault: "Episode 7" – Jeff Beal (Peacock)
- The Beast in Me: "The Beast and Me" – Sean Callery and Sara Barone (Netflix)
- Black Rabbit: "Isle of Joy" – Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (Netflix)
- In the Blink of an Eye – Thomas Newman (Hulu)
- Washington Black: "If You See My Mama, Whisper Her This..." – Cameron Moody (Hulu)
Follow over the jump for the non-music craft categories.

Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Limited or Anthology Series or MovieBeef won this award for its first season, so it's my pick for favorite.
- The Beast in Me: "Elephant in the Room" – Arjun Bhasin, Emmanuelle Martin, and Alyssa Avellino-Faivre (Netflix)
- Beef: "All the Things We're Never Going to Have" – Olga Mill, Bailey Gardner, Sarah Basta, and Kellie Ishisaki (Netflix)
- Black Rabbit: "The Black Rabbits" – Amy Westcott, Jessica Trejos, Min Ji Kim, and Amy Burt (Netflix)
- DTF St. Louis: "Cornhole" – Molly Maginnis, Nadia Durham, and Brenda Maben (HBO)
- Remarkably Bright Creatures – Carla Hetland, Laura Zydervelt, and Margaret Schliessler (Netflix)

Now a category that includes a nominee I mentioned in Drink to the action movie nominees at the Critics Choice Super Awards on National Daiquiri Day, The Rip.
Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or SpecialBeef could win in a sweep, as it's the most nominated limited series. On the other hand, its first season did not earn a nomination in this category. I suspect all the gunshots in The Rip or Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War might help one of them win.
- The Beast in Me: "Sick Puppy" – Ruy Garcia, Marcello Dubaz, Marissa Littlefield, Isaac Derfel, Otis Streeter, Jo Caron, James Sizemore, and Guy Francoeur (Netflix)
- Beef: "It Will Stay This Way and You Will Obey" – Christopher Gomez, Danika Wikke, Jerry Lafuente, Yurii Kerelius, Luke Dennis, and Danylo Gomlez (Netflix)
- Lord of the Flies: "Piggy" – Niv Adiri, Tom Sayers, Linda Forsén, Phil Freudenfeld, Kirsty Graham, Paolo Pavesi, Zoe Freed, and Rebecca Heathcote (Netflix)
- The Rip – Daniel Pagan, Craig Mann, Chase Keehn, Jon Title, Russell Topal, Randy Wilson, Justin Helle, Sam Zeines, Stefan Fraticelli, and Jason Charbonneau (Netflix)
- Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War – Lewis Goldstein, Alfred DeGrand, Tyler Newhouse, Rebeca Lindenfeld, Bennett Kerr, Marcello Dubaz, Patrick Cicero, Henry Butler, Paul Urmson, Wen-Hsuan Tseng, Annie Taylor, Nicholas Kmet, and Leslie Bloome (Prime Video)

Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming (Juried)If this category were open to the vote of the general membership, Wednesday would win in a walk. With a jury, I'm not sure that will happen.
- Bridgerton: "Pink" / "Full Circle" / "Recital" / "Masquerade" / "Stag" – Sean "Jack" Murphy (Netflix)
- Noah's Arc: The Movie: "Love Is a Contact Sport" / "Next Caller" – Christian John-Devi Vincent (Paramount+)
- Palm Royale: "Comin' Home Baby" / "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" / "I Had a Ball" – Brooke Lipton (Apple TV)
- Stumble: "Media Day Routine" / "Bring It on Routine" / "Truck Routine" / "Elite Cheer Routine" / "Car Wash Routine" / "SDSJC Daytona Routine" / "Buttons Daytona Routine" – Dahlston Delgado (NBC)
- Wednesday: "The Dead Dance" – Corey Baker (Netflix)
- Will Trent: "Nuevayol" – Lance Guillermo and Danielle Sten (ABC)
I close with a category I covered in 'South Park' leads Outstanding Animated Series while 'Star Wars: Visions' has already won an Emmy.

Predator: Killer of Killers is also a movie, so it ended up here.Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and AnimationAs the two promotional images above show, two animated shows earned nominations in this category, Predator: Killer of Killers and Star Wars: Maul. I don't know which has better sound and I doubt either will win this new combined category. I expect it will be between Murderbot and Widow's Bay, but I'll choose should I get around to the relevant live action genres, comedy, science fiction, horror, and fantasy.
- A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: "In the Name of the Mother" – Alastair Sirkett, Martin Cantwell, Michele Woods, Adéle Fletcher, Ruth Knight, Neil Stemp, Louise Burton, Barnaby Smyth, and Rebecca Glover (HBO)
- Murderbot: "All Systems Red" – Tyler Whitham, Danielle McBride, Ève Corrêa-Guedes, Craig MacLellan, Marcelle Simpson, Nicholas Fitzgerald, and John Elliot (Apple TV)
- Predator: Killer of Killers – Chris Terhune, William Files, James Miller, Justin M. Davey, Lee Gilmore, Jessie Anne Spence, Daniel DiPrima, Stephen Perone, Adam DeCoster, and Noel Vought (Hulu)
- Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord: "Chapter 10: The Dark Lord" – David W. Collins, Kevin Bolen, Bill Rudolph, Michael Brinkman, Frank Rinella, Kimberly Patrick, and Eli Denson (Disney+)
- Widow's Bay: "What to Expect on Your Trip" – Matt Yocum, Sang Kim, Goeun Everett, Ryan Sullivan, Nick Seaman, Nate Underkuffler, Leslie Bloome, and Shaun Brennan (Apple TV)
That's a wrap for the TV movie nominees. I'm taking a break from the Emmys tomorrow and plan on returning after I get my grades in, so stay tuned for a short evergreen educational entry tomorrow.
