Now for a serious update from NewsNation, Market tumbles as gas prices continue to climb | Morning in America, uploaded just this morning.
Wall Street is reacting to the war in the Middle East after stocks tumbled Friday to close at their lowest level in over seven months. The Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq have all seen continued declines since the start of "Operation Epic Fury" one month ago. NewsNation’s Alicia Nieves shows “Morning in America with Hena Doba” how the market shifts are driving sticker shock at the gas pump.Welcome to energy prices as examples of "Everything is connected to everything else" and "There is no free lunch."
That's the big picture. I begin my personal update by sharing that my wife suggested I fill up Pearl the Prius the morning after the initial attack and I did; I've seen this movie before and I knew what was coming. I was only surprised that people weren't panic buying and that prices hadn't risen - yet. I was able to drive on that tank for the past four weeks. I was not looking forward to filling up, but did so anyway after attending the nearest No Kings demonstration today and felt lucky to pay just less than 4.00/gallon. How are gas prices where you are?
Follow over the jump for the rest of my personal driving update and the three most read driving update posts during the 2025-2026 blogging year.

Pearl's odometer rolled over 72,000 miles on Thursday, March 26, 2026. That's 77 days since she passed 71,000 miles on Thursday, January 8, 2026. That translates to 12.99 miles per day, 396.10 miles per standard month, and 4,740.26 miles per standard year, which is significantly more than the 8.40 miles per day, 256.30 miles per standard month, and 3,067.23 miles per standard year I drove Pearl between September 11, 2025 and January 8, 2026. It's also more than the 11.11 miles per day, 338.89 miles per standard month, and 4,055.56 miles per standard year I drove her between December 10, 2024 and March 10, 2025, the comparable period last year. I credit my increased mileage to my driving Ahsoka less because my wife has recovered enough from her injury to drive again and because all of the reporting period was when I was working, not on break. Neither is a surprise. I expect I will drive less at the next update, because I will be going to only one work location instead of two beginning in May.
Now for the three most viewed driving updates during the 15th year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News.

'The Pandemic Made People Worse Drivers,' a driving update from September 12, 2025 earned 1173 raw page views between its posting and March 20, 2026, enough to rank seventh among entries posted during the 15th year of the blog and twelfth overall by raw page views. It received the bulk of its readership through normal social media promotion during September 2025, when it earned ~1,020 default and 1106 raw page views to rank sixth by default page views and seventh by raw page views overall during the month.

I shared CNBC explains 'How China Proved It Can Shut Down Global Auto Production,' a driving update from September 4, 2025 at the Citizen Connect/Coffee Party USA Facebook page. On the one hand, it helped it earn 762 raw page views by March 20, 2026, enough for it to rank 24th by raw page views among entries posted during the 15th year of the blog and 31st overall. On the other hand, it was not enough for it to rank in the top 20 for September 2025 — the month had that many posts with more page views!

That's a wrap for today's retrospective. Stay tuned for this year's version of My Saturn Awards preferences and predictions vs. the winners for Flashback Friday as the Sunday entertainment feature.
