Deadline to register for November election is Monday, October 6
While the next elections in Michigan are a month away, the deadline to register to vote is tomorrow.All jurisdictions in the county are voting for federal, state, and county offices. In fact, the entire state is voting on federal and state offices and statewide ballot measures. Make sure you're registered. If you're not, register. Then vote in November. All those who wish to vote on November 4, 2014, must be registered to vote by Monday, October 6, 2014. Michigan residents can find out if they are already registered by filling out the online form at the Secretary of State website. However, if one has moved to a new city or township, one must re-register. Also, if one has moved from one residence to another within a city or township, one must update the address. Normally, that happens when the address on a driver's license is changed at the Secretary of State's office.
Those who are not yet registered can obtain applications to register to vote can be obtained at Secretary of State branch office, a local county, city, or township clerk's office, and online at the Secretary of State's website.
