John Oliver on coronavirus

Once again, I failed in my promise to "post something more serious about the outbreak the next time I write about it here" that I made to close Trevor Noah and Stephen Colbert look at official responses to the coronavirus outbreak and repeated to open Closer looks at the coronavirus outbreak from Meyers, Noah, and Colbert.  That's because the featured segment of this Sunday's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver was Coronavirus.  Take it away, John!

As coronavirus spreads to the US, John Oliver discusses what’s being done to fight the illness, what’s gone wrong, and how to stay safe.
That Vietnamese song and the dance made for it are really catchy.  I hope they're catchier than the virus!

Oliver followed up on the segment when he was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers in John Oliver Fought the Urge to Panic About Coronavirus Appearing in New York City.

John Oliver talks about coronavirus and his stint on an obscure British TV show.
Oliver's writers did a good job on the segment, considering they did it on such short notice.

I will still try to share something more serious the next time I write about the outbreak.  In the meantime, stay tuned for another installment of The Hungry for Power Games, as Elizabeth Warren just dropped out.  Sigh.
