Sweet things to make for Valentines Day

I began the month by observing that I didn't have to take February's NABLOPOMO of MAKE so seriously.
I can get away with posting recipes from Tipsy Bartender.  That's a relief.
With Valentines Day this coming Saturday, it looks like a good time to start, but not with Tipsy Bartender.  Instead, I begin with WXYZ's demonstration of a Simple dessert for Valentine's Day.

For the recipe, click here.

I've always enjoyed bread pudding and am glad to have a recipe, but I'm going to let Willy Wonka express my opinion of the effectiveness of this recipe.

Follow over the jump for today's video recipe from Tipsy Bartender.

Skyy and Inna present Valentine's Day Jello Shot Hearts.

Make these super creative and delicious jello shots for that special someone this Valentine's Day!

RECIPE
=======
FIRST LAYER:
1/2 Cup(118ml) Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup(118ml) Water
2 Packets Non-Flavored Gelatin
Let the mix heat and dissolve, then add:
1/4 Cup(59ml) Sugar
Allow the mix to cool, then add:
1/2 Cup(118ml) Vodka

Pour contents into a greased baking pan. Leave in the fridge to harden.
Cut off the bottom of 12 maraschino cherries and place in baking pan about an inch and a half(25mm) apart from each other.

SECOND LAYER:
1 Cup(237ml) Hot Water
1 Package Cherry Jello
Allow mix to cool, then add:
1/2 Cup(118ml) Cherry Vodka
Gently pour mixture on top of the hardened coconut mix - do not fill to the top, the cherry will float and not stay upright. Place in fridge to harden.

Slowly cut through the jello with a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Too much pressure will split the shape.
Note the common ingredient in both these recipes--cherries.  I wonder if that's just a coincidence for Valentines Day.  For WXYZ, maybe, for Tipsy Bartender, I doubt it.
