The Big Blue Marble, then and now

While everyone is looking at Pluto, another spacecraft is looking back at Earth.  The White House explains in Our Blue Marble.

NASA releases the first Blue Marble photo from the new DSCOVR satellite — the first of many such images to come. Starting soon, we'll have the ability to take full snapshots of the Earth every few hours.
Looking forward to all the Big Blue Marble images yet to be taken and published.  May DSCOVR be every bit as valuable as the Orbiting Carbon Observatory.
