Colbert clowns as Cruz and Kasich capitulate

I already wrote "Good riddance, Agenda 21 paranoid" in response to Ted Cruz dropping out, but that wasn't a proper send-off.  Besides, John Kasich ended his campaign the next day.  He needs a good-bye, too.  I'm outsourcing that to Stephen Colbert, who does to Cruz, Kasich, and (again) to Carly Fiorina what he did to Ben Carson, give a "Hunger Games" good-bye in Hungry For Power Games: Dyin' Ted.

Two more Republican tributes have finally fallen, leaving Trump the GOP victor.
Everyone, a toast to the victor!

I think we'll be seeing a lot of "cartoon Donald Trump" between now and November.

Au revoir to Carly and Chris!

The early caucuses and primaries give a good indication of which candidates could win their parties nominations, but they do an even better job of eliminating the aspirants who have no chance.  After Iowa four candidates bid farewell to the campaign trail.  After New Hampshire, two have left the race, Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie.  Ladies first, as CNN reported yesterday Carly Fiorina suspends presidential campaign.

Carly Fiorina announces that she will be suspending her 2016 presidential campaign and included a specific message for female voters.
FiveThirtyEight has a brief post mortem of her campaign: Carly Fiorina Peaked Early And Faded Fast.  I'll also be brief and toast iCarly with a Black Sheep Ale.

Follow over the jump for my good-bye to Chris Christie, at least as a presidential candidate.*

Darth Trump strikes back as The Farce awakens

I'm not done with Darth Trump.  Here are three cartoons that feature him as evil Star Wars characters.

First, here he is as one of a rogue's gallery of Republican candidates as Star Wars characters.

Seeing this lineup is enough to make one drink.*

Next, Chris Christie isn't the only candidate who reminds cartoonists of Jabba The Hutt.

Just remember what Princess Leia did to her captor.  I'm sure the GOP would like to make life imitate art.

Finally, The Penguin Donald returns as the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Yes, The Farce is strong with this one.

*That reminds me that there is a Democratic Debate tonight.  Here are the drinks and drinking game rules for Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O'Malley.  Happy debate watching, especially in the middle of a data breach scandal.

Democrats write better than Republicans, according to Grammarly

Two months ago, Grammarly analyzed the writing skills of supporters of the Republican candidates on Facebook before the first Republican presidential debate and found that Trump's supporters had the worst writing skills.  Now that the first Democratic debate is a week away, the grammar website and app has done the same for the followers of the participants in next week's debate.  The result is the Democratic Primary Candidates Grammar Power Rankings.

The supporters with the best grammar were those of Lincoln Chafee.  Behind him were those of Jim Webb, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, and Hillary Clinton.  Oddly enough, the two candidates with the most literate fans used to be Republicans.  That's interesting and possibly a little perplexing, because all the Democratic supporters write at least as well, if not better, than even those of any Republican.

Follow over the jump for a side-by-side comparison in Grammarly's Presidential Debate Grammar Power Rankings.

Debate drinking game rules for Carly Fiorina

Paul W. at You Might Notice a Trend has posted Update: GOP Debate Drinking Game for 2016 But For the September 2015 Foofaraw In Particular.  That means it's time for me to update the drinks for the candidates I recommended in Drinks and drinking games for Donald Trump and the GOP debates, Proof of drinking game concept on Kasich, and Drinks for the candidates in tonight's debate, then compiled in GOP debate drinking game with drinks for each candidate at Daily Kos.  Here's what I told Paul when he told me he was updating the drinking game in a comment.
Thanks for the head's up.  I'm keeping the same drinks for the same candidates. About the only change I foresee is adding a drink recipe or two for Carly Fiorina, who has an outside chance of bumping Chris Christie or John Kasich out of tenth place. I'll just add them to your new rules.
Over at his blog, I added that "I've already found a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing beer (an IPA) so that's taken care of."  Paul approved of my suggestion.  To understand why, watch this video nicknamed "Demon Sheep" from iCarly's 2010 run for U.S. Senate.

Skip to 2:20 for the demon sheep.

That's probably why there is another beer suggestion for iCarly on a similar theme.

Follow over the jump for two more drink ideas plus Paul's rules for the GOP's only woman running for President.
