Tipsy Bartender's Corona recipes for Cinco De Mayo during a pandemic

¡Feliz Cinco De Mayo! For this year's entry, I'm continuing the tradition of posting drink recipes from Tipsy Bartender, which I never really abandoned, even when I wrote about "Coco" at the Saturn Awards two years ago and shared a history lesson about the real reason for Cinco De Mayo last year; both of those have videos about Mexican-themed drinks from Tipsy Bartender, even though they are ostensibly about a different topic. For this year's celebration, I am taking a cue from the coronavirus pandemic to post recipes using, what else, Corona beer.*

I begin with a public service announcement from Skyy and his guest, Corona Beers Don’t Contain Coronavirus!

38% of Americans wouldn't buy Corona "under any circumstances" because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
On the one hand, this message bears repeating. On the other, LOL, what a bunch of covidiots who believe this!

Follow over the jump for the recipes.

The oldest recipe video on Tipsy Bartender's YouTube channel with Corona in its name is How to make a Red Corona.

Make your beer even more potent and sexy at the same time...THE RED CORONA! This is a super fun drink that's great for parties. The cool thing about this drink is that you actually make it in your beer bottle--it's easy; you just add vodka and grenadine and voilà! A sexy, spiked red beer to keep your thirst quenched!

RED CORONA
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 corona extra beer
1/4oz grenadine

CORONA ROJA
1 1/2 oz. Vodka
1 Cerveza Corona Extra
1/4oz Granadina
Working up to the present, the next recipe is for a Coronarita.

Here's the recipe:

CORONARITA
1 1/2 oz. (45ml) Tequila
1/2 oz. (15ml) Triple Sec
7 oz. (210ml) Coronita
1 oz. (30ml) Lime Juice
Garnish: Salt/Lime Wedge

PREPARATION
1. Rim edge of glass with lime juice and coarse salt. Add ice.
2. Pour over tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Stir well to mix.
3. Add an upside down coronet and garnish with a lime wedge. Enjoy responsibly!
The next year, Skyy posted two Corona recipes. The first one was Corona Sunrise.

Here's the recipe:

CORONA SUNRISE
1 1/2 oz. (45ml) Tequila
Coronita
2 oz. (60ml) Orange Juice
Splash Grenadine
Ice
Garnish: Orange Wheel

PREPARATION
1. Combine tequila and orange juice in glass and stir to mix. Add ice.
2. Add a splash of grenadine which will sink to the bottom then top with corona.
3. Garnish with an orange wheel. Enjoy responsibly!
Later that year, Skyy posted Corona Bomb.

Bomb shots are always a fun time and this one is ideal for beer lovers!
Skyy returned to an updated version of his original format in last year's Loaded Corona.

We add a [citrus] rum to corona making it stronger and way more tasty!
There are more recipes that use Corona but don't have it in their titles. I'm saving them for future posts. I'm an environmentalist; not only do I recycle, I conserve my resources.

That's it for this year's celebration of Cinco De Mayo. Stay tuned tomorrow for an entry featuring more Star Wars for the Revenge of the Sixth.

*I couldn't resist this entry being an exercise in dark humor. There is a reason I write a doomer blog.
