Happy Valentines Day! Since the Fifty Shades film trilogy is now over, it's time to return to an earlier tradition on this blog and celebrate the holiday with science. On that note, I am sharing The Evolution of the Heart (A Love Story) from PBS Eons.
In order to understand where hearts came from, we have to go back to the earliest common ancestor of everything that has a heart. It took hundreds of millions of years, and countless different iterations of the same basic structure to lead to the heart that you have today.That's the kind of video I can show to my students.
