Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on Brexit, which is now delayed until October 31, plus John Oliver for the eighth year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News

I concluded Trump Administration designating Iranian Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization updates 'U.S. leaving Iran nuclear agreement pushes U.S. oil price above $70 plus driving update for May 2018: Pearl,' a top post of the eighth year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News by telling my readers to "stay tuned" as "The next entry in the series will feature a John Oliver video on Brexit to update all of the top posts from last year about John Oliver."  Without any further ado, I present Brexit III.

The UK could officially leave the European Union next month, which would be a huge change with hugely damaging consequences.
When the segment aired, Brexit was scheduled for March 29th.  Since then, it's been delayed twice, first for April 12th, which is tomorrow, then today it was postponed again until October 31st.  Euronews has the story in Live: EU leaders offer Theresa May a Brexit delay til Oct 31.

The Brexit delay, according to Reuters, would also be reviewed in June. According to diplomats, French President Emmanuel Macron opposed the efforts by the summit to give the British Prime Minister another year.
Well, that will make for a Happy Halloween, whether or not the date gets changed at the end of June.  Speaking of which, I haven't focused on Brexit here since I wrote Oil falls after Brexit vote, pushing prices even lower nearly three years ago.  It looks like I'll have to start paying attention again, if only to see if it will actually happen.

Follow over the jump for all of the top posts from the eighth year of this blog that featured John Oliver videos.

The most read entry from the blogging year that ended on March 20, 2019 featuring John Oliver was Update to 'Suit against John Oliver and HBO dismissed,' top post for the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News posted March 27, 2018 with 6929 raw page views, enough to rank it as the seventh most read entry of the eighth year of this blog.  It had 104 raw page views before being shared at the Join The Coffee Party Movement Facebook page at 9:00 P.M on April 1, 2018.  It earned ~3800 page views in the first two hours and ~5900 page views in the first 24 hours after being shared, helping to attract 2,927 page views to the blog in hour it was shared.  It knocked Instructions on how to deal with an active shooter with 6061 default page views out of the all-time top ten between 9:00 and 9:30 P.M. on April 2, 2018.  As of 1:00 A.M. EDT on April 4, 2018, it had 6588 default page views and sat in 10th place.  It was then passed by Update to 'Vox explains how proportional representation can solve gerrymandering and help minor parties,' the second most read entry for the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News, plus minor parties overnight on the 4th and fell out of the top ten after only three days.  Sic transit gloria mundi.  It was also the third most read entry during April 2018, ending the month with 6658 default page views after maxing out at 6770 default and 6816 raw page views on April 25, 2018.  It also had two comments, which tied for most comments among entries posted during April.

The next most read entry during the eighth year of this blog that featured a video from "Last Week Tonight" was John Oliver helps update 'The tax bill and the U.S. economy in 2018 and beyond,' a top post of the seventh year of Crazy Eddie's Motie News from April 26, 2018.  It ended the blogging year in 16th place with 3645 raw page views.  This post had 91 default and 100 raw page views before being shared to the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page at 9:00 P.M. on May 1, 2018.  It earned 2164 page views in the first two hours and 3101 page views in the first 24 hours after being shared.  It maxed out at 3486 default and 3545 raw page views at 7:59 P.M. on May 25, 2018, ending May 2019 with 3395 default page views, making it the fifth most read entry during May 2018.

By the way, next Monday is Tax Day, so I might recycle this paragraph.  After all, I'm an environmentalist.

Speaking of recycling posts, the next most read entry is from the seventh year of the blog. 28 x. John Oliver on marijuana legalization for 4/20 was posted on, no surprise, April 20, 2017.  It ended the posting year with 2793 total page views over its lifespan.  However, this post had 297 raw page views before being shared to the Join the Coffee Party Movement Facebook page at 10:00 P.M. on May 2, 2018.  2793-297=2496, so that's how many raw page views it had during the eighth year of this blog.  It finished May with 2763 total raw page views, so it earned 2466 raw page views during May, as well as 2444 default page views, placing it 6th for the month.

As with the above entry, I might recycle this paragraph, in this case for the retrospective on the back catalog.

The final entry in this retrospective about John Oliver is 'Last Week Tonight' on the now-dead Sinclair-Tribune merger and long-dead Warren G. Harding, a double Emmy nominee from July 22, 2018.  It placed 39th overall and 37th among entries actually posted during the eighth year of the blog with 2117 raw page views for the year.  It was also the fourth most read entry during July 2018 and the second most read actually posted that month with 2027 raw and default page views.  It was also among the most active on Twitter that month with 1 retweet, 2 likes, and 1 response thread.  Again, I might recycle this for a future retrospective, this time about awards shows.

This series is taking a break until Monday, when it's Tax Day.  In the meantime, stay tuned for Yuri's Night, Apophis Day, and the winners of the 2018 Coffee Party Entertainment Awards for movies.
