'New Zealand Girl Reacts to BOSTON CRUSADERS 2018 | S.O.S.' for a drum corps 'Mayday!' on Wayback Wednesday

A happy drum corps May Day to my readers! While the prediction I made last year that today's post would not feature drum corps maypoles in motion came true, I'm taking advantage of today being Wayback Wednesday to revisit 2018 Boston Crusaders 'SOS' for a drum corps 'Mayday!' Watch Courtney Coulston's New Zealand Girl Reacts to BOSTON CRUSADERS 2018 | S.O.S..

As I wrote in I begin Spooky Season with the 2016 Academy's 'Drum Corpse Bride' for a drum corps Halloween, "I always find Courtney's naive reactions fun to watch. Besides, she's preserving shows that would otherwise disappear from YouTube."

While I'm still ready to embrace May Day as International Workers' Day and showcase corps with themes that match, I'm glad I was able to postpone doing so one more year, thanks to Courtney.

Follow over the jump for the top performing posts on the Crazy Eddie's Motie News Facebook page (if you're on Facebook, please follow), which all featured drum corps and most also celebrated holidays.

Video tributes to George Zingali for his birthday on World AIDS Day was the most active on Facebook both during December 2023 and the 2023-2024 blogging year with 3,728 impressions, 3,583 reach, 129 link clicks, 105 likes and reactions, 12 shares, and 9 comments, the most for all except shares. I submitted this to Vagabond Scholar for Jon Swift Roundup 2023, "The Best Posts of the Year, Chosen by the Bloggers Themselves," with the following description.
I decided to write something personal for World AIDS Day, the story of an acquaintance who participated in the same youth musical activity as me and later died of AIDS. I wrote more widely read posts this year, but none as appreciated on Facebook with 101 likes.
That was as of Christmas Eve. As the stats above show, Facebook users continued to add likes and other reactions after that.

One of the shares was to March or Die, now Marching Arts Network TV, on Facebook, which helped inspire The Stress Master and Tumor to create MOD TV Podcast-Ep 5-News, Cavaliers 1948-1973 reaction, George Zingali and 1991 Freelancers! They even used the preview image I created as part of their video's preview image.

We took 2 weeks off and now we are back with a Drum Corps filled show. We watch the Cavaliers PT 1 video 1948-1973, talk about the influence of George Zingali on Drum Corps. AND!!!! We watch 1991 Freelancers and completely GEEK out. We get to relive a great show both of us were a part of. Talk about the show and discuss much much more!

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
I responded on the YouTube video: "Wow! I'm so flattered that my post to the Facebook group inspired you to talk about George Zingali! Thank you!"

That's a wrap for the top posts shared at the Crazy Eddie's Motie News Facebook page last year. I'll see if I can continue this series tomorrow for Throwback Thursday. Stay tuned.

I conclude by recycling It's Wayback 'Wednesday'.

I was working on a post that was going to take too long, so I made this meme instead. I like the idea of Wednesday Addams as a mascot for Wayback Wednesday. I hope my readers do, too.
