Desi Lydic Foxsplains Trump's Indictment for Flashback Friday

Happy Flashback Friday! Before I look back at the top posts from last year about today's topic, I'm returning to Trump's indictment and arraignment with The Daily Show's Desi Lydic Foxsplains Trump's Indictment.

We made Desi Lydic watch Fox News and chug Logan Paul's energy drink for six days straight so she could explain what's really going on with Trump's indictment.
Thank you, Desi, for watching Fox News so the rest of us don't have to.

I can see why Desi Lydic earned an Emmy nomination for for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for "Desi Lydic Foxsplains." She put on quite a performance. Here's to hoping she receives another nomination. In the meantime, I'm recycling what I wrote about the first post that featured "Desi Lydic Foxsplains," which was also the most read entry about awards show nominations.

The most read entry about January 6th during the blogging year just ended did not feature Colbert. Instead it was Desi Lydic, an Emmy-nominated performer, Foxsplains the January 6th Committee Hearings, written on August 8, 2022. It was the number one post of August 2022, earning ~1,860 default and 2,114 raw page views that month after I shared it at the Coffee Party USA Facebook page. It continued gaining page views, ending calendar year 2022 with ~2,110 default and 2,201 raw page views, and blogging year twelve with the same ~2,110 default but 2,228 raw page views, good enough to rank fifth according to default page views, sixth among entries posted during the previous blogging year and seventh overall accoring to raw page views. It was also one of three pins from the current blogging year saved during September 2022. Look for me to recycle this paragraph when I write about top posts covering awards shows.
It was also the most read entry about awards show nominations. I like posts that do double duty!

Follow over the jump for a retrospective about the rest of last year's most read entries about awards shows.

The next most read entry about awards shows was Lizzo made headlines and history playing James Madison's crystal flute after winning an Emmy from September 30, 2022. I shared this at the Coffee Party USA Facebook page that night, which counted for October's statistics. Those showed 895 default and 1140 raw page views, ranking it second for the month by the first measure and first overall by the second. It continued to earn page views, ending calendar year 2022 with ~1,140 default and 1,185 raw page views and the 2022-2023 blogging year with ~1,140 default and 1,210 raw page views, ranking eleventh for the blogging year by default page views, 17th by raw page views among entries posted during the twelfth year of the blog, and 26th overall.

While I posted John Oliver examines inflation plus 'Last Week Tonight's Emmy nominations on July 27, 2022, I shared it at the Coffee Party USA Facebook page during August 2022. It accumulated 484 default and 704 raw page views by the end of the month, ranking it fourth by the former metric and sixth overall by the second. It ended the blogging year with 929 raw page views, which placed it 27th among entries posted last year and 36th overall. As the image above shows, it's still earning page views.

I'm sharing one more entry I featured in Randy Rainbow sings 'Life's a (bleep)ing Fantasy for Santos' on Flashback Friday.

Like the two other entries in today's retrospective, I shared Randy Rainbow's songs from his Grammy-nominated comedy album, posted February 4, 2023, at the Coffee Party USA Facebook page. That earned it 857 default and 880 raw page views that month, ranking it first during February 4, 2023. By March 20, 2023, it had 856 default and 884 raw page views — once again, Blogger trims default page views even as raw page views continue to increase — placing the post in 17th place by default page views, 31st among entries posted during the twelfth year of this blog, and 40th overall, making this the lowest ranked post examined in the part of this series by total readers. As of March 20, 2023, it was the third most read entry during calendar year 2023 according to default page views, but 1987 Cadets 'Appalachian Spring' for a drum corps Vernal Equinox from March 20, 2023 has passed it with 857 default page views as I type this. However, it still has fewer raw page views with 860, so the second most read Randy Rainbow entry still has third [place] according to that measure. Besides, it's still earning page views, as the image above shows 885 page views, with one earned on March 21, 2023.
As I wrote above, I like posts that do double duty!

I have another entertainment retrospective coming about the most pinned and tweeted entries about awards shows. Stay tuned.
